Rear Commodore's Message

"The purposes of the Club are to encourage the sport and art of sailing and racing, to provide wholesome recreation and competition for sailing and racing enthusiasts of all ages, and to maintain a suitable building as the center from which these activities can take place." - The Constitution and Bylaws of Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May (Article II, Section 1)

Thank you for your interest in our club. We are dedicated to advancing the sport of sailing and providing facilities for our members and visitors so that they can learn, compete and experience the joy of sailing. We have a proud tradition of delivering on this purpose for over 70-years, and my commitment is to carry on this legacy and inspire the next generation of sailors to do the same.

The summer sailing program at the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May is a hive of daily activity, with sailing classes, free sailing of club boats for members, local and national sailing competitions, sunset cruises, and visiting sailboats from other yacht clubs. Our volunteer and professional staff deliver exceptional service and are readily available to provide friendly assistance. The club's facilities provide for launching boats and preparing for events as well as storage. Our Race Committee is certified through US Sailing and holds itself to those high standards when officiating competitive events. The offshore fleet competes with other yacht clubs in the Mid-Atlantic including the Lewes Cup, the Cape-to-Cape Regatta and the Avalon Cup.

If you think you might be interested in learning to sail or competitive sailing, our skippers are always looking for crew, and you can contact me to get connected. I am excited about our plans for the upcoming sailing season and am looking forward to working with our members, other yacht clubs, the community of Cape May and our visitors to enable more people to enrich their lives and experience the joy of sailing.

Fair Winds,
Bill Brady, Rear Commodore 2022-2023
