Rules: The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS); the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association; the rules of the J-24 class, except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions., and by the sailing instructions.
Radios: All yachts must have a VHF radio.
Eligibility & Entry: Competitors must have a valid weight certificate and a current class membership card. An extra fee of $10. will be charged for those Skippers not a member of USSA

Races
Saturday, August 21. First warning signal 11:00 AM.
Up to three races may follow.
Sunday, August 22.. First warning signal 11:00 AM.
Up to two races may follow.
Launching/High Tide
Launching is available at CYCCM. However, because of the depth restriction, launching is
possible only within 1∏ hours of high tide:

Sun. Aug 22 7:34 PM
Once launched, yachts must remain in the water until the conclusion of the regatta except with the permission of the Race Committee which will be granted only in emergencies. Dock space with rafting will be available, some moorings are available.
Regatta Site & Course(s): The regatta site and racing area will be the ocean waters off of Cape May Inlet or lower Delaware Bay. The course(s) will be windward-leeward.
Scoring & Alternative Penalties: The Low-Point Scoring System; Appendix A2 of the racing rules will apply. There will be no throw-out race. The Scoring Penalty, RRS 44.3; will apply.
Social: There will be complimentary beer Saturday evening on the dock. There will be dinner served at the yacht club both Friday and Saturday evenings for those interested in eating there.
Places to Stay: Cape May has a lot of bed and breakfasts, inns and motels. The following are close to CYCCM:

Congratulations to Charlotte List for representing CYCCM and Team USA at the 2010 British Nationals Optimist Regatta in Portland, England! Charlotte finished 64th in the GOLD Fleet of 82 boats.
Watch this wonderful launching video, it gives you a great sense of the venue and managing an event for 493 sailboats.
