Corinthian Series I Although it was a beautiful day in Cape May, the light and shifty air presented an interesting challenge for the Harbor Sailors on Sunday. In the Optimist Class, it was between Charlotte List and Abby Lord vying for first place for the day going into the last race. With a good start and favorable winds on the first upwind leg, Charlotte took the lead early in the last race and held it to win overall for the day with 4 points. Abby Lord placed in second with 5 points and Brady Press secured third place for the day with 10 points. In Senior Sunfish, Capt Brian McEwing commanded the day winning all three races. PC Wally Barrie took second for the day with 7 points, holding off Carol Flynn who placed a close third with 8 points. The Race Committee included Dave Crines, VC Leslie Fog and Carol List. Rick Press and Joe Carroll manned the patrol boats for the day. These races concluded the Corinthian Series I set of races. The Corinthian Series II begins this Sunday.
